Going Organic and All That Jazz

Buy Organic/Non-GMO Verified

Hi Everyone,

I started this blog to share valuable information on how people can find a medicineless way to heal their body. Because of my personal experience on the medication wheel, I felt, there has to be a better way! The expense, the tests, the constant going back to my doctors and changing or adding medications to my body was exhausting! Even though, I took my pills and I juiced everyday, Kale, Spinach, Ginger, Apples & Carrots, I still developed severe acid reflux along with the almost complete shutdown of my small intestines, leading to another problem of not being able to keep my food down! The medicine was masking the problem. It was time to take matters into my own hands. I started researching the web to find out what could be causing my health issues and what I could do to remedy this breaking down of my gut. The very first thing I learned was that, GMO foods grown from Roundup ready seeds specifically, Corn (field and sweet), Soybeans, Cotton, Sugar beets, Canola Alfalfa, Apples, potatoes, Papaya and Squash (which are being used in most of our foods today) were affecting my gut. Not only do the seeds contain BT toxin in every seed, the crops are sprayed with Roundup weed killer (containing Glyposate) during the growing season and right before being shipped to the markets. Glyposate does not wash off and BT Toxin is in the cells of each plant. We eat the plants and ingest the poison that is inside the cells of the plant. I was basically juicing and drinking a pesticide cocktail everyday!

Knowledge is power. Vote No to GMOs with your dollars. Buy organic.

Jeffery M.Smith and his team of experts, doctors, scientists, researchers and reporters were instrumental in my finding out exactly what is going on with my body. I am happy to say, I am on the mend thanks to the information provided by Jeffery and his persistance to never give up. All I can do is try to help spread the word about how what you eat is vital to your healthy survival.

What is VANILLIN? What is VANILLA?

Posted on June 29, 2020 at 11:15 AM Comments comments (7917)

Vanilla beans are highly prized in culinary circles, and many foodies consider it an essential ingredient for any pantry or baking cabinet. There is, however, a common artificial vanilla flavoring called vanillin that is produced as a way to get "the same thing" at a reduced cost. Unfortunately, vanillin is lacking in flavor and consumption of this artificial enhancer may not be a great idea.

Vanillin is a vanilla extract alternative made from wood pulp. It is commonly used to reduce production costs. And, unlike real vanilla extract which is produced from real vanilla beans, vanillin is synthetic and may be produced using petrochemicals and by products from the paper industry. Unfortunately, because it's cheap, the stuff is everywhere. Vanilla flavored over-the-counter medicines, beverages, and cookies are all places you're likely to find vanillin.

Information was taken from an article written by Dr. Edward Group on the Read full article on the global healing website.

Lignin (wood pulp) to make vanillin (information taken off a websearch on google)

Despite eugenol being a slightly cheaper way to make vanillin, development has continued and nowadays most of the vanillin is not made from eugenol anymore, instead it is made from lignin and guaiacol. (Go to for complete article)

The lignin-based vanillin is the type made from wood pulp byproduct and has a richer flavor. The guaiacol based vanillin was found to be a more cost effective solution to the shortage of vanilla flavoring. The chemicals used to produced vanillin give the product a vanilla taste by essentially tricking the brain into thinking it’s the real thing.

I only gave you the names of the ingredients that are used in aartiicial flavoring. There is so much information on the internet. Just google Lignin and Guaiacoi and you can determine if you want to ingest those or not.

Clear vanilla is made by combining propylene glycol or glycerin with artificial vanillin. Artificial vanillin simulates 1 flavor component out of over 250 different flavor components found in natural vanilla. It is a by-product of the wood industry or is produced from petrochemicals. Artificial... Yum!

it is important to realize that vanilla as a natural product consists of a number of organic compounds.(Over 150 organic compounds make up the flavor of vanilla.) The FDA rules are, vanilla extract must have minimum of 35% alcohol and 65% water. Other additives, like sugars and preservatives can be added so check  your ingredients. I have chosen to make my own homemade vanilla. It takes a long time to cure, depending on the amount of beans you use. Vinilla beans are expesive, but the amount of organic vanilla extract will be much cheaper (and cleaner) in the long run,

I make my Vanilla extract using Organic Vodka (present brand I used is RAIN). For Non Alcoholic I used Food Grade Glycerin and filtered water (3 parts glycerine 1 part filtered water) It's easy to make, you just have to be patient. It takes weeks to months to infuse the flavor. The longer you leave it, the stronger it becomes (the less you will have to use in your recipe)

How Celery Juice Helps Heal Eye Problems

Posted on February 7, 2020 at 9:15 PM Comments comments (2532)

The following statement was taken from Anthony Williams, (The medical medium) blog: How Celery Juice Helps Heal Eye Problems Do you or does someone you know have an eye problem such as cataracts, color blindness, congenital eye defects, conjuctivitis (pink eye, corneal disease, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye syndrome, eye floaters, low vision, macular degeneration, or optic nerve atrophy? The true causes of these conditions are a mystery to medical research and science but there are real answers for you here Celery juice is one of the most powerful foods for vision and restoration of the eyes. In this area, it equals and even surpasses the wild blueberry, which is the only other food on Planet Earth that has the power to protect your eyes to this degree. Wild blueberries help the eyes because of their antioxidants. With celery juice, one reason why it's healing people is that it helps remove toxic copper from the body. Sodium cluster salts contain trace minerals that are critical for the eyes, including trace zinc and trace copper. The trace mineral zinc shuts down any kind of viral activity around and inside the eye, even along the optic nerve, while the trace mineral copper binds onto toxic copper and helps loosen and dislodge it so it floats out of the eye, into the bloodstream, and eventually out of the body. The trace zinc also helps interrupt reactions of mercury and aluminum that lead to corrosion and degenerative eye disease. Vitamin C from celery juice enters the eye hitched on to the sodium cluster salts. While the cluster salts help renew and restore eye tissue, vitamin C can enter cells with them. Almost anyone with any eye problem of any kind has a deficiency in vitamin C because almost anyone with an eye problem has a liver problem. A liver that's sluggish, stagnant, overburdened, or dysfunctional means that it's unable to customize the vitamin C that enters it, unable to methylate it properly to make it more bioavailable and accessible for the rest of the body. Celery juice's vitamin C provides an instant infusion for the eye cells, sustaining them and helping them reverse or at least halt the advance of disease. Neurons in the brain that send signals to the optic nerve also rely on celery juice's sodium cluster salts because of the improvement to neurotransmitters that they bring. This alone can assist with a multitude of eye symptoms, from basic to extreme." To read the true cause of the specific eye problems below, and how celery juice helps each unique condition, read Medical Medium Celery Juice. by Anthony Williams

My personal Journey with Celery Juice:

I had developed red burning feet which would intensify at night time. I have no idea what has caused it. It could be from so many different things.I am not willing to go through a battery of tests and medication to try to fix this problem. I am a firm believer of "Trust your gut instinct." My instinct was to start drinking 16 oz. fresh organic celery juice every morning on an empty stomach. I just wanted to fix my burning skin on my feet. I read that skin regeneates itself every 27 days. I decided to drink celery juice for the next month to see if my feet would heal. I had no idea that celery juice is great for your eyes too! (I found that information on Anthony Williams blog)

In a routine eye exam, it was discovered, (by two eye doctors), I had the very beginning stages of glaoucoma in my left eye (pressure of 21) They confirmed the pressure number and I made an appointment for lasar therapy immediately. There was a two week wait for another specialist. My right eye has been diagnosed with a cataract which will involve surgery to remove it.

When I went back for my laser treatment, the pretreatment exam determined that my pressure had dropped to 17! Of course they attributed the lower number to the pressure flucuating. (It did not drop until after I drank the celery juice faithfully for two weeks.) Siince laser treatment is not invasive nor painful and they were all there waiting for me, I allowed the (in my opinion not necessary) 30 second treatment to be done.

My progress after 3 weeks of Celery juice:

My feet are slowly healing. The burning is considerably lighter. And they went from firey red to dark pink in color.

I have noticed that my energy has dramatically improved, I have not had acid reflux since I started drinking celery juice, my skin looks much healthier and the dark spots on my face are getting lighter.

I have to conclude that something good is happening in my body with the commiment of juicing celery daily.

I will continue to drink this juice and will check back with an update my health to you.

How Important is it to Filter Your Water?

How Important Is It To Filter Your Water?

With all of the Chemicals, Pesticides, Bacteria, Fluoride, Chlorine, Chloramine and Pharmaceutical deposits in our tap water, it is critical to filter your drinking water. It not only tastes bad, it is having a negative effect on your health.

Fortunately, there are many companies offering different filtration systems that will bring our water back to safe and clean standards.

Brita is the most popular known brand that works well with its carbon based filters. There are other brands that offer different stages of filtration built into the unit. They can rid your tap water of most pollutants including Fluoride, bacterias and viruses.

Since I do not own the house where I live, I invested in removable water filter systems.

My research lead me to these filters.

For the kitchen, I chose a countertop model: available at amazon

Home Master TMJRF2E Jr F2 Elite Sinktop Water Filtration System, White

Home Master TMJRF2E Jr F2 Elite Sinktop Water Filtration System, WhiteHome Master Jr. F2 Elite Sinktop uses its advanced five-stage filter to remove up to 93 percent of dirt and rust; soluble metals like fluoride, arsenic, lead, iron, mercury, copper, and aluminum; chemicals like chloramines, chlorine, VOCs, THMs, and many pharmaceuticals (microcontaminants) that create foul tastes and odors in your tap water. Dissolved solids like calcium and magnesium minerals are not removed.

The Home Master Jr. F2 Elite uses its powerful catalytic carbon filtration media to treat the very persistent chemical disinfectant chloramine. Ordinary carbon filters are unable to effectively remove this stubborn contaminant that is now being deployed nationwide to replace chlorine. That’s why Home Master uses the more advanced carbon media known as catalytic carbon ..............

Instead of lugging cases of bottled water so I can grab and go ... I opted for this handy and super filtering capacity bottle (with Standard filter). I can turn tap water into clean drinking water from almost anywhere!

Remember to Filter your hose water too!

Water your organic vegetables with clean water.

People are aware of the dangers of toxic chemicals that are for sale to keep the bugs off their home grown crops. They are opting for alternative, safe, chemical free ways to debug and weed their precious produce. Please don't forget to filter your hose water too! There are so many chemicals and bacteria in your hose water. You can easily attach a water filter to your hose and know you are not only, not spraying poison, but you are watering with clean filtered water. It's easy and not expensive to do.

I went to a plumbing supply and bought the adapters needed to attach a filter to my garden hose.

Unrefined vs. Refined Coconut Oil

Unrefined vs Refined Coconut Oil

I do love coconut! I always use Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil. I found this wonderful article on website.written by John Staughton (BASc, BFA)

Most people are unaware of the difference between refined vs unrefined coconut oil, but it all comes down to processing methods, as well as changes in taste and some variability in nutrient composition.

Refined vs Unrefined Coconut Oil These two types of coconut oil are both derived from the meaty flesh of a coconut, but from that point, they undergo a different process to be produced, resulting in two different products. Unrefined Coconut Oil Unrefined coconut oil is often referred to as virgin or pure coconut oil since it hasn’t been adulterated or chemically treated in any way. Unrefined coconut oil can be produced by passing fresh coconut meat through either wet - or dry -pressing extraction methods. The wet extraction process is more time-consuming, and can even be done in your own home, but purer virgincoconut oilyou find in stores is made through the dry-pressing method. With both approaches, the oil is physically pressed or removed from the meat of the coconut, resulting in a slight coconut flavor to the oil, making it popular for many dishes that require a sweet base. Without the processing, you also retain more polyphenolic compounds, antioxidants and beneficial fatty acids in this variety of coconut oil. Also see 7 Proven Benefits of Banana Tea 7 Incredible Benefits of Rosehip Tea Refined Coconut Oil Refined coconut oil is also made from the flesh of the coconut, but it is often dried already and is called copra. When sanitizing and cleansing the copra, it goes through a process of refining, bleaching, and deodorizing, and is therefore often called RBD coconut oil. During the production process, the oil is filtered, bleached, and chemically treated to remove free fatty acids. The flavor of refined coconut oil is almost completely neutral, as many of the characteristics of the coconut have been removed. This includes quite a few of the antioxidants and desired nutrients in the oil. There is still a significant level of saturated fats found in refined coconut oil, and this product is still often used for cosmetic and natural health applications, due to its milder flavor and longer shelf life.

What is Palm Oil and why is it damaging?

What is palm oil and why is it damaging?

Despite palm oil being in most of the products we use every day, not everyone is aware of what it is and why it's controversial. By Ceren Senkul, news reporter (Sunday 25 November 2018 21:47, UK)

As the petition to release Iceland's TV Christmas advert tops a million signatures, we look at why palm oil is so controversial. Last week, it was announced the supermarket's main Christmas advert would not make it to air. The Greenpeace-made advert chronicles the plight of the critically endangered orangutan, whose habitat is being destroyed by the production of palm oil.It was blocked by Clearcast - the body responsible for clearing ads before broadcast - for being too political.Clearcast says on its website: "An advertisement contravenes the prohibition on political advertising if it is:Advertisement"An advertisement which is inserted by or on behalf of a body whose objects are wholly or mainly of a political nature."Voiced by actress Emma Thompson, the animated short film talks about the destruction of the rainforest.

Earlier this year, Iceland committed to remove palm oil from all its own-brand foods by the end of 2018 Claire Bass, UK executive director of Humane Society International, told Sky News: "Orangutans not only have their forest homes destroyed, but they can also be directly killed by palm oil workers in efforts to clear the land."We're losing these great apes at the rate of 25 every single day, so we either act now or lose them forever."The story touched millions of people who took the time to sign the petition, started by Mark Topps.Mr Topps told Sky News: "I first watched the advert with my five-year-old daughter and it sparked a conversation about the rainforest.

"The petition has raised awareness and spreading the message of sustainability within the palm oil trade and ensuring that companies are held accountable and that we can protect and preserve our environment and the wildlife within it.

"Despite palm oil being in most of the products we use every day, not everyone is aware of what exactly it is, what the problem with it is, and why it's used so much.

What is palm oil? It is the most popular type of vegetable oil derived from palm oil fruit.About half of all the products you can buy in a supermarket contain palm oil. It's in shampoos, cosmetics, chocolate, crisps, cleaning products, cereals, protein bars - to name a few.Palm oil is not always listed as such on a product's ingredients.A lot of products contain derivatives of the oil itself, but it's still palm oil.Alternative names include azelaic acid, cocoa butter equivalent, glycerin and anything that contains the word "palm".

What does it have to do with the orangutan? The mass production of palm oil is linked to deforestation, habitat loss, climate change and animal cruelty.Orangutans have become critically endangered, as forests are bulldozed to make way for palm oil plantations. After palm oil plantations are established, scores of orangutans are displaced.Hungry and out of their natural habitat, they try to find food in plantation areas. They are often killed in order to protect the plantation sites.More than 90% of orangutan habitat has been destroyed in the last 20 years.Ms Bass says: "Most palm oil is produced in Indonesia, home to critically endangered orangutans, as well as rhinos, tigers and their unique ecosystems."There is a also growing concern that palm oil production will soon expand to Africa and threaten the habitats and primate species there.

"If it's so bad, why is it so popular? It's popular because it's high yield, so it's cheap to produce.About 80% of the world's supply of palm oil is produced by Indonesia and Malaysia. Most of the world's palm oil is produced and exported from Indonesia and Malaysia, but to devastating effects. It is Indonesia's third largest export earner.

So should consumers boycott products containing palm oil? No. Palm oil can be grown without destroying rainforests, so if you opt for products which contain sustainable palm oil there is no need to boycott anything, just alter your choices. As long as the product is certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, which has become the globally recognized standard for sustainable palm oil, it means it has been produced according to a specific criteria.

Why can't a less harmful vegetable oil be mass produced instead? It would basically be replacing one problem with another.Bigger plantations would be needed if palm oil were to be replaced by sunflower oil, for example, since palm trees produce more oil than other crops per unit of land.Ms Bass says: "Consumers are increasingly aware of the direct animal welfare impact food choices such as meat and dairy consumption have, which is why we're seeing such a rise in the number of people switching to vegan and plant-based diets, but they are now also coming to realize that seemingly innocuous ingredients like palm oil can have a disastrous impact on animals too."

 Sometimes orangutans are killed directly

Seed & Nuts Organic vs. Non-Organic

Seeds & Nuts Organic vs. Non-Organic

I was wondering why, no matter which brand of organic walnuts or almonds I bought, they all tasted so flat and dry, like wood. I don't eat wood, but I imagine that is what it tastes like. Flavorless and bland. I discovered that the raw nuts I was buying were all pasteurized. (Either with hot steam, which depletes the nutrients and flavor out of them or they get soaked in a chemical bath. While searching for the best place to buy organic nuts to make my organic energy bars, I came across this article! I believe, there are no accidents. I dove into whatever I could find on exactly how and what method is used to debug our nut supply here in the USA. I chose the following article to share with you. I think it says it all.

Nuts and Seeds Organic vs Non Organic (Posted on by Jean Sumner)

You have probably noticed that a number of the vegetarian recipes use seeds and nuts. These versatile ingredients actually make you feel like you are having meat in your vegetarian recipe. There are a number of recipes for raw nut pates that are great to serve as a vegetable dip or as a part of a filling salad. Nuts have been an important food as a part of a raw food diet. Nuts contain healthy, unsaturated fats which can help lower the risk of heart disease. They also provide magnesium, which helps maintain bone structure; and chromium, which helps to ensure proper insulin function. Nuts contain zinc for growth and wound healing, and manganese, which protects against free radicals. All nuts are a good source of vitamin E, an important antioxidant. Like all plant foods, they are high in fiber and phytochemicals—both of which help protect against cancer and other chronic diseases. . But it is important to know whether you should buy organic or non-organic nuts. Let’s take a look at the different types of nuts and seeds: Almonds are not actually raw unless you purchase them from the grower. The USDA pasteurization laws require them to be pasteurized before they are sold in the super market. These nuts easily absorb pesticides because of their high oil content so it is best to purchase organic almonds. Cashews have been treated with endosulfan Endosulfan - Wikipedia which is a highly toxic to humans and animals. They are also not actually raw since part of the process to bring them to market requires they are heated.

Purchase organic cashews! Pistachios may be treated with phosmet.

Phosmet - Wikipedia:  Cornell University completed a study that indicates phosmet causes liver tumors and carcinoma. And on top of this, phosmet is extremely toxic to honey bees. Again, buy only organic pistachios. Sunflower Seeds like almonds have a high amount of oil and fat content that absorbs pesticides easily so it is best to buy organic. Walnuts have a lot of pest issues and as such are saturated with pesticides and more chemicals than any other nut. Their fat content allows them to absorb these chemicals so again buy organic. Sesame Seeds are grown in Africa and Asia where pesticides are not monitored so it is best to buy organic Macadamia Nuts are treated with atrazine which has been shown to harm aquatic organisms and there is some evidence that it has a negative impact on human reproduction. Buy organic only. Peanuts are not really a nut; they are a legume and are grown in the ground where they have ample time to absorb all of the pesticides. Along with this, peanuts grown in certain regions where there is high humidity grow a mold that produces aflatoxin which is a potent human carcinogen. Organic peanuts are grown in the South West where the humidity is not a problem. So in a nutshell, it is extremely important to purchase organic nuts and seeds.Resources

There are many more articles online about the poison being used to "clean" the nuts. If stream is used it depletes the nutritional value of the nuts. So basically, you can pick your poison, As for me, I choose to find an organic family owned farm or business that sells Organic, Unpasteurized, raw nuts. I currently buy from Terrasoul Superfoods. Read their story on their website and decide for yourself. I found their prices to be better than the store prices. You do have to buy larger quantity to receive the best price, but if you use a lot of nuts, they are worth it. Organic, Non-Gmo, Unpasteurized, raw.....I'm in This information was taken from their website.

The Terrasoul Way: We are a family-run and employee-owned company. We care about your health and happiness, and you always have our 100% satisfaction guarantee. At Terrasoul, we’re experts at sourcing the best quality ingredients from all over the world. Use Fresh Limes instead of Deodorant?

Posted on January 22, 2020 at 10:15 PM Comments comments (3438)

I was watching "Open Minds" on The host, Regina Meredith mentioned that Fresh LIME works better than deodorant!  I heard that statement and decided to try it. Well, the first time I used it, it burned like crazy! Let me give you a heads up! It does work great...just "gently" wash your underarms with mild soap, pat dry, then apply the lime directly to your skin. No burning. (Do not apply to freshly shaved skin...I doubt I have to say that, just be forewarned)I applied the lime then I went outside to do some gardening. I worked up a heavy sweat. I noticed, there was no odor coming from my underarms! I did not smell like I needed a shower...I did FEEL like I needed one. I was dripping sweat, my clothes were soaked from sweat, I was truly surprised at how well the fresh cut lime did the job!

The jury is out on this subject online. Some say it works, others say do not expose your skin to the sun after applying lime juice. Your treated skin can react to the sun and cause a host of skin problems.

I'm not too worried about my armpits being out in the sun as I tend to keep my arms down most of the day. ;)

A New Health Risk has Silently been Unleashed to the Public

Posted on January 22, 2020 at 9:50 PM Comments comments (3214)

There's a new monster coming to your table. Be aware of it and don't invite it into your home. GMO 2.0 is RNAi. In short, it interferes with the natural signal that RNA sends to the DNA (telling it what to do). For instance, the instruction for a potato to turn brown is silenced, allowing the potato to look fresh for a long time. Arctic Apples have the RNAi technology and the Pink Pineapples are also modified RNAi. My concern is that this food is heading to the market, unlabeled and untested. What will that RNAi gene silence in the human body? Only time and ingesting it will show results. Product and safety testing is being done on the consumer.. The uproar and noise being made about discovering exactly how dangerous Glyposate and BT toxin is to the public's health has kept the focus there while the chemical companies have silently unleashed another dangerous product to the public.

 This is another documentary exposing world contamination by using Roundup ready seeds and Roundup spray. BT toxin and Glyposate are the active ingredients in the products. (Causing a multitude of diseases including birth defects.) ;
